If my job provided mental health days, today would've been a good day for one (note to self: provide my future employees with mental health PTO). It just seemed like all the things were happening and I couldn't make a good decision to prevent them. Life was life-ing at its finest and I was letting it.
That is until I realized the cause. I made a decision to be more disciplined, and sometimes in an effort to find balance, I bend the rules on said discipline to make room for leisure, people, etc. That's okay and necessary. However, when you have a goal, you have to do like the kids say and "stand on business," to ensure it is achieved.
In order to see change, you have to implement changes. You can't stay up all night and think that you're going to wake up earlier with more energy and knock out your to-do list. You have to go to bed earlier. You can't say you're going to pay off debt and then go out to eat every day. You have to save and start paying off your debt.
I'm in a season in my life, where play time is played out. I have to really walk in discipline and structure in order for that which I hope to accomplish to come to fruition. I believe this starts with a thought. I believe I am successful. I believe I have the tools required to be where I want to be in life. And because I think and believe it, it is so.
Sometimes you have to push past how you feel and other times you have to acknowledge your feelings and readjust in order to shift your thinking. I cannot stand for negative talk and I cannot participate in behavior that counteracts with the vision God gave me for my life.
I need positivity in my life. I can't watch, talk about, or think about anything other than the goal. I'm fed up with settling for less. I'm not doing it anymore.
I have to do better to be better, and everyone may not agree with the changes I'm making, but fortunately I don't have to answer to anyone but God.

While making a cup of tea just now, God told me that had I not encountered the experiences I did this morning, I would not have been inspired to write this post, or make that Tik Tok video you just saw and my efforts would have been mediocre today. God be doing His big one when I'm feeling my smallest. Look at the message He left me.
