Fall Harvest Loading...

Is it just me or has the past year been in slow motion and turbo mode at the same time? When I think of where I was a year ago to now it seems like more than 365 days have passed. However, when I think of pulling out sweater weather attire, I'm like when did summer even begin?

Regardless of whether you enjoyed a hot girl/boy summer or quarantined and chilled the last three months, we are entering a new season so we might as well cheers over a pumpkin spice latte and pull out the pea coats ("look at this pea coat, tell me he's broke"...I had to. Let me make sure I credit that quote to Kanye West, he might stick me for my paper).

My podcast partner, Lillian made me aware of the Harvest Moon which is basically a full moon that happens during the autumn equinox. It's called Harvest Moon because its bright light helps the farmers see as they pull the harvest of their crops. When Lillian shared this with me I was like "this is a Word!"

God has assured me repeatedly that a harvest is coming in this new season so to hear that He is shining his light on us to help us see the abundance of crops He has for us just blessed my entire being. I know that the seeds we have sown, watered with tears and nurtured with love will now reap a bountiful harvest. We just have to let the light in so that we can see what we're pulling. Oooo and don't be surprised if you have to pull it out of the ground. Don't be discouraged about this last step because the outcome will far outweigh the input.

I googled scriptures on harvest (no I don't have them all memorized) and these two popped up first.

Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.2 Corinthians 9:10
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.Galatians 6:9

Some of you are at your wit's end. You can't handle any more bad news. I feel you, in fact, I find myself exiting the conversation lately at the news of someone passing or someone being sick or things not working in someone's favor. There's been a saturation of bad news not only in the media but in our own lives and the lives of people close to us, and it can all just feel like too much at times. But the scripture says do not become weary in well doing.

Your well doing may just be keeping a smile on your face in the midst of all of the turmoil happening around you. It may be picking up household items for your neighbor when you make your Target run. Whatever it may be, don't get tired. Keep being who God created you to be because a shift is here. The seasons are changing and so is your situation.

Get ready because your harvest is coming. I'm not just saying that because it's Fall, but then again I am. God is intentional in where He placed the seasons, and even more so on when He gives us words of enlightenment. This word is for you, so receive it and walk in your abundance; an abundance of joy, love, resources, money, income, faith, favor, and all of the things that tickle your soul. Be blessed.
