Discover the Healthy You

God is good. Not just because of good experiences, but even the uncomfortable ones that reveal our constant need to learn and grow. I've had the pleasure of spending my mid-winter time off from work in sunny Los Angeles where the weather has repeatedly hit 80 degrees, the fellowship has been fulfilling, and the food hasn't missed. I split my trip among three parts of the city staying with three different friends-- one in the valley, one in the heartbeat of Downtown, and another near the West LA beaches. Each friend has been gracious reminding me of the purpose and value in relationship.
My relationship with God has consistently grown stronger over the years and with that, He brings people into my path to show me His love up close. I've had friends tag along with me to UCLA gymnastics meets (Jordan Chiles & the UCLA team for the win), introduce me to a church that feels like home away from home, and expose me to new L.A. dining experiences that opened during the pandemic transition.
I've had phenomenal workouts thanks to my fitness training guru sister, and consistently built content due to the never-failing, jaw-dropping landscapes of the "best coast" (don't come for me, family).
I've witnessed my friends thriving in their elements and walking in their purpose in new music studios, top-tier fitness facilities, and professional settings. Needless to say, I'm inspired, rested, and reset.
I know that travel is a privilege, so I'm not going to be cliché and say book the trip, but I will leave you with this. Whatever has been pressing on your heart-- the thing that recharges you, the experiences that motivate you, the people that fill you up as you pour into them--surround yourself with those things. This can be from the comfort of home or the scenic plains of Bali.
Life can easily become monotonous, so do what it takes to rejuvenate the gifts within you; not just to feel good, but that you may be able to be effective in the world. It takes a healthy you to give the best you. I encourage you to get healthy in the way that makes sense for your lifestyle. The world needs that version of you.
